About This Project
My art often serves as a mirror to my emotions and personal experiences. The time I’ve spent working on miniatures has sharpened my focus on details—sometimes I lose myself for hours perfecting the fine intricacies of a figure or a scene. The Little Sad Pari collection is particularly close to my heart, as it delves into themes of sadness, introspection, and solitude. Through these works, I’ve channeled moments of melancholy, capturing the delicate beauty of vulnerability. Each piece in this series tells a story of quiet reflection and inner emotional landscapes, offering a window into the softer, more somber side of my artistic expression.
The title Little Sad Pari is inspired by a poem from my favorite Iranian poet, Forough Farrokhzad. In her poem, she speaks of a “little sad fairy” who resides in an ocean, plays her sorrowful heart on a wooden reed, dies at night from a kiss, and is reborn with the dawn by another. This name was chosen to reflect the moments of sorrow and contemplation that resonate deeply through my artwork.
